State-of-the-Art Forum on Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Celiac Disease and Food Allergies
The 3rd Cleveland International Digestive Education and Sciences
(IDEAS) Symposium
RATIONALE
Over the last two decades, there have been tremendous
advances in our understanding of the pathogenesis and
treatment of chronic digestive diseases. As a result, novel
therapeutic modalities have been developed for these
conditions that have significantly improved the quality of
life for patients. This international symposium will focus
on three frequently occurring inflammatory disorders of
the gastrointestinal tract, including inflammatory bowel
disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), celiac
disease, and food allergies, which affect millions of
individuals worldwide. International experts from North
America and Europe will present state-of-the-art lectures
on the current knowledge and advances regarding the
pathogenesis and treatment of these conditions, both
from basic science and clinic perspectives. The final goal
is to promote collaboration between North American
and European basic and clinical investigators, as well
as to disperse the latest information in these important
areas of investigation.
