Atherosclerotic pathology is changing over time affecting younger
people with a modest burden of risk factors. This aspect leads to a
consideration on whether the guidelines and the consequent preventive
actions are currently effective and adequate. Considering the fact of
non-invasive and invasive diagnostic tools have made an extraordinary
strides forward it’s time to match each other in an interdisciplinary
approach,focusing on the patient with the real probability of coronary
artery disease. In this regards aim to this meeting is that of reconsidering
the role of guidelines, matching the different tools for diagnosing
coronary artery disease, starting from pre-clinical phase to acute phase,
through a clinical chronic state, and matching the latest interventional
and medical therapies.
