Since the last International Workshop on the Management of Primary Hyperparathyroidism, in 2008, new insights have been gained in the diagnosis, epidemiology, target and non-target organ involvement, and in management of this endocrine disorder. The 4th International Workshop, to be held in Florence, Italy (September 19-21, 2013) will review these new insights in the context of our current knowledge. The current guidelines for the management of Primary Hyperparathyroidism will be revised. Areas for which more research is needed will be defined.
